ABOUT ME
I’m a geothermal scientist at the University of Iceland, specializing in volcanic geothermal systems. My work integrates field studies, numerical modeling, and geochemical analyses to explore volcanic processes and advance sustainable geothermal energy production. Alongside research and teaching, I provide consulting expertise in geothermal exploration and resource assessment, both in Iceland and internationally.

Outside academia, my life revolves around family and creative pursuits. My wife is a philologist at Árnastofnun who works with Iceland's remarkable manuscripts. We have two kids who keep us busy and amused. In quieter moments, you’ll find me playing music (piano and guitar), diving into good books, or going for a run.
